There were two titles they developed. The first Rallisport Challenge game was released for the original XBOX and PC, while Rallisport Challenge 2 was only released on XBOX I believe. IMO both titles are hands down some of the best racing games ever, and that includes this generation. Also, I'm pretty sure they are backwards compatible with the 360 so if you wanted to try them out, you could probably pick them up on the cheap. Man, reading this article just makes me hope that DICE makes a ...
HEY!...that tiger wanted to be fondled. :P
When you gotta go, you gotta go.
Nintendo trolls? Really? Where? :P
The first 20 or so minutes of Microsoft's conference started in a way they hadn't attempted in awhile...which was showing games. I admired the fact that they got straight into the demo's and didn't resort to lame sales figures and pompous video montages like they had in years passed. It was also cool of them to finally acknowledge the fact that they needed to concentrate on exclusive software when they pointed out that everything shown from the 10 minute mark through the end o...
I hope that pause screen is running at 60 fps. :P
That was pretty hilarious. I especially agree on the rain being absent from the game. As much as I loved the game I kept hoping that it would rain at some point. It would have looked awesome and added to the creepy outdoor atmosphere.
The writer was referring to the first Uncharted I believe, not Uncharted 2 like most are assuming. Also, why is everyone here referring to this as PR talk from Ninja Theory? They never said this and the article itself is a para-phrased reference to a preview article written by a staffer at CVG. They never brought up Uncharted's graphics at any point and instead carefully drew a comparison between both games by saying, "...and as beautifully animated as Uncharted." It's just ...
that's actually pretty awesome...and delicious looking too. i gotta get me a PS3.
the shock rifle in UT was awesome when you used the secondary fire and it's primary fire as a combo. Quake 2 was also a seriously overlooked gem back in the day.
the funniest comment posted in awhile.
:D
as for the game. great review.
if only Turn 10 would have kept their profile low-key (i.e. not bashing the competition.), this game would have been judged on it's own merits in terms of quality and gameplay. As it stands, the game looks stunning, but it will always have an aura of doubt and ridicule surrounding it just because of a couple of silly and baseless comments. i'm still looking forward to Forza 3, i just think that all of the hard work Turn 10 put into this game and the series is being undone by off handed commen...
Since I've owned a 360 It's only broken down on me once and was shipped off and returned back to me within a week with no problems. Overall, I was really surprised with how smooth it all went considering stories like this, but the main factor may have been that I had the service request done all on the xbox.com website without ever having to talk to anyone at Microsoft's customer service center (thank god) and may have made the experience a bit more streamlined in comparison to calling them. ...
i know...i know (cries) but i was poor.
:(
however, i swear to one day play every Metal Gear game, including Twin Snakes for Gamecube. A couple of years ago I got to play the first half of MGS3: Snake Eater and I loved it and the great thing is that I enjoyed the story despite not having played the earlier installments in the series, but my friends were big fans so they kind of filled me in on the gaps. I figure I'll just buy a PS2 for $100 bucks and get caught up on the classics....
take it easy man. i'm not even going to press disagree just because i know it won't make a difference. it was a personal choice and happened to be all i could afford at the time. if that somehow offends and boggles your existence to know that someone on the face of this earth actually bought and played an original xbox then your in no position to be calling anyone a fool. be a gamer dude, not an a**.
haha, I hear you on that. I was only able to afford one console last generation and I took a chance on the Xbox and I never regretted it, but I do wish that I would have been able to play all the games I missed on the PS2 and Gamecube because those were great systems in their own right.
I agree Linux. If you put in the effort, your work shows and that's exactly what Naughty Dog was able to accomplish with Uncharted 2. Microsoft and Nintendo just need to put their resources into having developers make the most of their hardware to make the best gaming experience possible. I'm actually a big 360 fan, but even I can admit that Uncharted 2 is one of the best looking games I've laid my eyes on.
I think Microsoft should have just made the 360 disc drive HD-DVD compatible, at least that way they would have had 30GB's to work with.
haha. yeah i was about to say if those are 2D models, they're the best i've seen. :)
That sucks...and your right, I just checked the list on xbox.com and only the original is backwards compatible. Oh well, somethings better than nothing.
